Missoula lodging known for high quality cleaning is the utmost importance in the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the coronavirus impacts the world, it is vital to communicate the steps we are taking to help keep guests safe, healthy, and confident.

At Gibson Mansion Bed and Breakfast, we have always adhered to the highest cleaning standards possible. We have implemented additional measures in the face of COVID-19 ensuring that our guests feel safe during their stay. Confident that these extra measures and precautions make our Missoula lodging the best place to stay during your travels.

With added cleaning and sanitation procedures that comply with the CDC as well as the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA). These changes cover all aspects of our operations including dining, guest rooms, housekeeping, and common area care to supplement our already rigorous processes.

  • Guest Check-In

While it is always our preference to personally welcome our guests, we believe that implementing social distancing guidelines is wise in the current climate. We have implemented new contact-less check-in and check-out procedures for our guests’ safety and convenience.

Our self-check in option for those who prefer this method. On the day of check in we will text the information needed to get in and settled without us. Rest assured we are always available via text or call to answer questions or assist if you need anything.

  • Breakfast

Gibson Mansion will continue our high level of pampering and gourmet breakfast. We begin the day with our coffee tray and Tom’s famous fresh baked scones delivered to your room as well as the full breakfast service in the dining room. By adding small tables to the dining room we offer social distancing and private seating. The Master suite offers breakfast in your room for a minimal charge giving the ultimate private dining setting.

During cooking and serving breakfast we will be wearing masks to provide the highest level of protection for our guests.

Self-Serve Coffee, Tea, and Other Refreshments/Snacks are still available in our kitchen. All items are in single serving commercial wrapping. We ask that guests use the kitchen sink for hand washing or hand sanitizers before helping themselves to complimentary items.

  • Guest Rooms and Housekeeping Service

Guest rooms will be held empty for multiple nights whenever possible. Regardless of the time, every guest room will have an extensive sanitizing process between every booking.

We have removed items such as decorative throw pillows, extra blankets, and other amenities from the rooms. An order sheet has been created giving full access to all these items and are happy to deliver them upon request.

Upon checked-out room windows are opened and door closed to allow for fresh Montana air to circulate for several hours. We are stripping the room of all bedding, including duvet covers and shams. Beds will be remade with our second set of clean and sanitized bedding.  All hard surfaces in the guest rooms will be cleaned with a disinfectant agent, including doorknobs, light switches, drawer knobs, alarm clock/charging/docking stations, thermostat controls and TV remote controls. All soft surfaces wiped down with a sanitizing cloth.

Bathrooms will continue to be disinfected, including fixtures, glass shower doors, and shower curtains and liners.

We guest rooms will be cleaned to our highest standard on the day of check in and the guest room locked for your arrival. This ensures the freshest room upon check-in.

  • Daily Housekeeping Service

CDC/AHLA guidelines recommend daily housekeeping to be available only upon request. We want to respect privacy and allow the safest room environment during your stay. If housekeeping is not requested we are happy to provide any items needed to be refreshed; a cloth laundry bag will be provided for towels that are being replaced.

  • Common Areas

Common areas will be cleaned and sanitized through out the day including high touch areas such as door knobs, light switches, and banister. Hand sanitizer are available throughout the common areas.

  • Innkeepers

Tom and Nancy own and operating Gibson Mansion and do all the care and cleaning of the property. This gives an even higher lever of attention to detail. Making not only this Missoula lodging but also our home as safe for you and us as possible. Since we are a haven for travelers we are strict on keeping social distance, please do not take offense for our lack of hugs and handshakes. We monitor our health and will not take any chances if one of us is not feeling well.

  • Kitchen

Kitchen sanitation procedures as always will continue with: High-temperature commercial grade dishwasher to sanitize dishes, silverware and glassware. Surfaces cleaned and sanitized per CDC requirements for sanitizing in a sensitive/food area.

Don’t worry about ventilation systems circulating air throughout the house, All guest rooms have individually controlled closed unit Mini Split A/C and Hot Water Radiator Heat. High level of cleaning detail, offering a stress free and relaxing experience.
